Invite a renowned scientist to Brno as part of the MUNI Seminar Series

Would you like to invite a foreign expert or renowned scientist to Brno and organize a
lecture at Masaryk University, but you lack funding? Take the opportunity to apply for
the MUNI Seminar Series for 2026.
The aim is to stimulate the interest of motivated academics and scientists from MU
who want to invite interesting foreign lecturers and science personalities to the
university but lack financial resources. The support is intended to help the host with
the costs of the foreign lecturer's arrival, accommodation, remuneration or other
expenses related to the realization of a specific visit and lecture. The lecture should
be interdisciplinary and promote discussion and collaboration across faculties.
The MUNI Seminar Series is a traditional lecture series held in three sections: social
sciences and humanities (SSH), mathematics, physics and computer sciences
(MPCS) and life sciences (LS). The last section includes the prestigious Mendel
Lectures.
The application period for SSH and MPCS series is open until 30 November. For
