JSTOR Path to Open: MUP Call for English Proposals I DL for submissions 31. 1. 2026
Do you have an idea for a publication with the potential to reach an international scholarly audience? Is there a promising manuscript or unfinished study sitting on your desk – one you never had the time or resources to complete?
Masaryk University Press is currently inviting proposals for English-language scholarly books to be published within the JSTOR Path to Open programme. Monographs and edited volumes selected for this programme will become part of a curated global collection of cutting-edge research and will be offered for three years to leading academic libraries worldwide. After this period, the books will be made openly available and continue to be distributed in open access.
📘 What does Path to Open offer?
- publication in English (translation can be arranged if needed)
- high international visibility and distribution via JSTOR
- inclusion in a global collection of contemporary, high-quality scholarly research
- no author fees – publication costs are covered by JSTOR (for the e-book; a print edition can be arranged by agreement with the author)
📌 Publication requirements
- scholarly publication in the humanities
- maximum length of 150 pages
